Let's look at the church in modern America

Do you see something wrong in many churches,

in many Christian books,

or in your culture?

Do you want to really think and find answers for yourself?

How do you see the world?

Have you struggled with your faith in today's world?

This blog raises many questions and provides some answers.
I welcome debate from sincere seekers.

Reasons not to be anti-science (i.e., "plain ol'" science without all the modern philosophical underpinnings of Science as Modern Religion)

This posting is going to get longer and evolve. For now, I refer you to the worthy blog, http://www.reasons.org, Reasons to Believe, Bridging the Gap between Science and Faith.

To jump in somewhere in the middle of a really old debate, I'll say first that in my formative years my parents told me that scientists made up the evidence for the earlier existence of dinosaurs…that they never existed. What do you think? More later.

I think Christians--or I should say a certain type of Christians--are afraid of science. It doesn't help that a lot of scientists are atheistic bullies, but we shouldn't be afraid. That simply alienates the world. Christians really need to look at the facts and draw their own intelligent conclusions.

And the dinosaurs were so NOT made up!

Dinos made up? No way! The bible even mentions a couple of dinosaur-like creatures, the leviathon and the behemoth. I also think a dinosaur is where the chinese "dragon" comes from.

I look forwards to hearing more of your thoughts on this debate!

Wow, seriously?? All of those bones and fossils were concocted by scientists just itching to disprove the Bible, and ready to possibly discredit themselves in the process?

Science and the Bible go hand in hand. You can't learn about one without learning about the other. Often Christians are scared that something seems to contradict the Word; but just because we don't understand it all, doesn't mean that the pieces don't fit together perfectly.

Christians need to bring glory to God and, therefore, they have an obligation to use their minds!! No more hiding behind skirts and hymnals.
